White Galaxy S Confirmed By Samsung [Samsung Confirms 'Blanco' Galaxy S Coming To South Korea, But Nothing Regarding European Release, Apple Is Jealous]Posted August 18th 2010 by Kevin Schram under Mobile/Cell Phones Share  The ‘Blanco’ Samsung Galaxy S that was listed on a Spanish online retailer’s website a few weeks back has now been confirmed – for South Korea, at least. The world’s largest technology company has confirmed that its native South Korea will be receiving  a white model as well. But what about Europe and the United States?

That’s right. Even though we first got a hint about the existence of the white Galaxy S from a Spanish phone retailer – Samsung didn’t give any clue about the white Galaxy S in the rest of world. As for South Korea, the white Android superphone is coming to SKT and it’s being dubbed by Samsung as the “Snow White” version. Yikes.

As tech blog Engadget points out, the imagery of the ‘blanco’ Galaxy S on ‘The Phone House’ showed a completely white bezel. Samsung’s obligatory Asian press shot of cute Korean girls holding the phone showed a black front – white back. A two-tone phone? Say it isn’t so.

The Samsung Galaxy S is Samsung’s big entry into the world of premium Android phones and it’s been doing well by all accounts. It’s reportedly the fastest-selling phone in the history of South Korea. The Epic 4G (a Galaxy S variant) is causing excitement here in the US as it’s about to launch as the second 4G phone on Sprint.

Do you like white phones? Here at TFTS, we disparage them but there seems to be a lot of people who like them. Sound off the comments below.
